Well, it have been flat or just rubbish for some time now and although i have been getting lots of windsurfing in i have not been surfing for weeks! So what do you do when it is hot, Sunny and flat? You take your surf boat and tow it behind a rescue boat! (obviously not your centres boat but a privately owned one!)
For those of you (like me) who have always wondered what it would be like, it was easy but it was difficult to get hard/sharp turns. It seems that you need to get some speed across the wake so that the ski-rope goes slack and then throw it into the turn. The fins need to be right forward in there box or you just wont turn. Unfortunately the boat i was being towed behind did not have any wake but there is real potential if you could do this behind a proper ski boat!
One last thing, i took my paddle on the first run so i could roll, don't! they will take your teeth out, it is easy to stay upright and your are better just coming out of your boat (if you have not jacked your seat right up you may well be able to hand roll anyway!)
